I regret to inform our dear taekwondo friends that the Hungarian Taekwondo Association has decided to prevent the competition from being held by administrative means.

We were deeply shocked to read the presidency's anti-competition decision, in which, due to the professional and moral conflict of interest between the Hungarian Taekwondo Association and the Egyutt a Taekwondoért Foundation, Hungary's largest international competition is not permitted.

We respect the decision - even though we do not agree with it - and consider it professionally inexplicable.

We would like to thank our dear supporters for their trust so far, in the future we will build domestic and international taekwondo, friendly cooperation between nations and taekwondo teams with other programs that are in no way dependent on the Hungarian Taekwondo Association.

About Us

The Together for Taekwondo Foundation was established to support the young sportsmen who are at a disadvantage with the power of sport. Our other main aim is to promote this martial art and Olympic sport in Hungary.

As the founder of the Foundation, we objected two main goals. The first is to support those children who cannot show their talent on an international stage due to their family's financial situation..

Our self-experience is that lots of young talent do not reach the adult league because their financial background cannot enable them. Our other main goal is to support Taekwondo.

Beside the fact that it is an Olympic game it is also a martial art. Our long-term plan is to help children who live in foster homes. We hope to show them a purpose and an opportunity through Taekwondo.

All in all, we would like to give back something to this wonderful community we met here. We would like to carry on the values we learnt here, values that are helpful in the everyday life too. We hope that many more will join us on our journey so we can reach our goals together.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION:

Our goal is to organize a high-quality competition that provides an excellent opportunity for the development of young Taekwondo athletes in Hungary and fosters community building. Additionally, we aim to establish a tradition with this event that will play a defining role in the future of the sport in the country. It is important to highlight that Taekwondo competitions have an advantage over other combat sports in terms of objectivity. In our sport, the winner is not determined by the referee but by an advanced sensor detection system, which we will also use at the event. The competition will take place in two disciplines simultaneously—Poomsae and Sparring—but in separate areas, ensuring that every visitor can find the type of movement that best suits them.
